James Smith Qualifies for Kona!

James Smith came to me a year ago with one goal – to qualify for the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona. My remit was simple, to get James there on the start line.

He couldn’t have picked a tougher race in IRONMAN England in Bolton, to qualify. After a strong race James finished 26th overall and that was including with a mechanical issue that took 5 minutes to fix and almost scrapped his race. But he did it, he qualified!

So now the next three months are all go as we start preparations for IRONMAN UK 70.3 and of course his goal race of the season, the IRONMAN World Champs in Kona!
