Ironman Portugal
An eventual day at Ironman Portugal last weekend. Jonny Rae clinched a World Champ qualifying slot in arguably his best race performance to date. John Willis a seasoned multiple Ironman, stormed home to a new PB. Robbie Innes smashed his first Ironman event and is already setting goals for next year. Only downside was Joe Franchi encountering a mechanical problem on the bike and having to retire from the 70.3 after such a good start. Was totally gutted for him. But we have put it behind us now. For good measure he will race his own mock 70.3 in a few weeks in sunny Scotland. Shows the measure of the guy. Then it’s onto next season’s goals for Joe.
