Great win for Matti at the brutal Mennock Pass Stage Race at the weekend. Winning stage 3 and overall GC. It was on Sunday when the race blew apart on the 5 tough ascents to Wanlockhead (Scotlands highest village) that Matti made his move. We spoke on Friday and we both had a good feeling about this race. A solid block of training and 5 days racing at the UCI Tour of Lithuania brought him into good form for the weekend.
