Controlled win for Alexander MacRae

Controlled win for Alexander MacRae today in the Lewis Oliphant Trophy Road Race. Off the back of a 4 week training block, and at the end of a recovery week, Alexander road within himself to seal victory.

2nd time up the climb he attacked and got a gap but got caught by chasing group. He waited till the next village and attacked hard through the group and got a gap. Wilson Renwick bridged the gap to him and they road the remainder of the race together. Alexander attacked near the end and won by about 10 seconds, then 45 seconds to 6 chasers, and 2.5 minutes to the main bunch. Apart from running out of water this was a near perfect race for him. We now focus on the busy race calendar coming up and a new training block starting this week.
